Jess Schmidt is a mixed media artist currently working out of Longport, New Jersey. As a graduate of the University of Delaware, Jessica acquired fine art course credits in addition to her Bachelors Degree earned in 2013. Drawing from her experiences traveling the world, she collects her ideas and inspiration from people met, cultures experienced and natural landscapes explored. Jess’s consistent use of a vibrant palate aims to capture the lifestyle of the surfing community both at home and abroad. Her artwork has been displayed on a variety of canvasses such as skateboards, surfboards, driftwood, maps and historic Atlantic City boardwalk pieces. Jess has many large commissioned pieces included in her resume such as murals as well as a piece for the United States Air Force. Donated works have been completed for local charities benefiting the Sandy Relief Fund, the Dean Randazo Cancer Foundation and the Atlantic Surfing Federation. In 2009, she organized and carried out a mural project in Worecester, Pennsylvaia with children and young adults at the Varity Club Childrens Charity day camp. She has had work on display in San Francisco, California benefiting the Bridge to Skate charity organization, and the Atlantic City Garden Pier Gallery. Jess has had her art work featured on British Television and can also be recognized in local businesses such as Steve & Cookies by the Bay.
